An armed homeowner in St. Petersburg, Florida, opened fire on two masked men on his property late the night of April 30, forcing them to retreat from his house, according to local authorities.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that St. Petersburg police found local resident Randy Stanley Jr., 25, lying in the street at the 2800 block of 27th Avenue N with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg medical center for treatment and is reportedly in stable condition. Once he is discharged, Stanley will be booked at Pinellas County jail with bail set at $160,000. He faces charges of felony possession of a firearm plus home invasion robbery.
Stanley’s would-be partner-in-crime fled the scene. Police are still in pursuit of the second suspect. They have not released the name of the homeowner at this time.
